Global Language Community: The Next Chapter

The Global Language Community empowers a medical professional with a teacher's support to build a business, launch projects, and fulfill a destiny.

My professional partnership with Tina is a tale of two different worlds coming together. As a teacher and a medical professional, we have distinct skills and backgrounds, yet we've built a great working relationship. Over the past 60 days, my intensive training has been instrumental in our progress.

Now, as we stand at this new juncture, a new question has come up: Could you tell me what our plan is for the next 30 days? The purpose of my intensive work over these past 60 days has been to create a foundation so strong that Tina will one day be able to move forward on her own.

Our adventure is more than just a collaboration; it's a mentorship. My role has been to bridge the great divide that existed between our different backgrounds. I recall a day in Hanoi, while teaching Tina English words related to medical terminology, she offered to give me an eye examination. It was a simple yet generous gesture, but it quickly became a valuable lesson in cross-cultural understanding.

While looking at the eye chart, I realized the distance of the letters that Tina was asking me to read was entirely different from what I was used to in the United States. In America, we strive for 20/20 uncorrected vision as the standard. But in Vietnam, Tina explained, the goal is 10/10. The confusion was a small moment of miscommunication that illuminated a much larger difference: the use of meters versus feet in our daily lives.

Here was a powerful, real-world example of how we had to translate not just language, but entire ways of thinking and operating. That day, we learned to bridge that gap together, and it became a foundational moment in our partnership.

The Plan for the Next 30 Days

With a solid foundation in place, we are now ready to set our sights on the next 30 days with a clear plan. We will work to complete one or two more micro courses and create additional posts and blogs to share our knowledge. Additionally, we are preparing for another webinar to connect directly with our audience.

A concerted effort for more marketing of the website will be a primary focus, ensuring we reach more people who can benefit from our resources. With her expertise, Tina will create her own materials about eye care, giving her a new sense of independence and empowerment.

Myopia is only the first of many eye conditions that she can fulfill her destiny, bringing her expertise to raise awareness and find ways to help with treatment, especially in rural areas. This opportunity will enable her to positively impact lives through her unique medical expertise, combined with our global reach and resources.

My hope is that this work serves as a foundation, a starting point from which Tina can confidently build her own path forward. This partnership is a powerful example of how we can create, empower, and support each other, even when our paths are destined to diverge. The next chapter of the Global Language Community is truly hers to write.
